Nestled in Canary Wharf, Fairgame is a vibrant and playful escape from the everyday. This unique arcade brilliantly marries the nostalgia of traditional fairground fun with a modern twist, creating an experience that’s both familiar and refreshingly novel.
Whether it’s for a casual outing with friends, a special celebration, or simply a quest for something out of the ordinary, Fairgame Canary Wharf promises an experience that’s as delightful as it is unforgettable. Here’s how our experience went.
How Much Is Fairgame?
Fairgame is priced at £15 per person, which we thought was reasonable for 75 minutes of gametime. You can spend as long as you like in the bar and seating area.
The Location
Situated at 25 – 35 Fisherman’s Walk, Fairgame is at the heart of Canary Wharf, making it a convenient spot for both locals and visitors. The area is well-served by the London Underground (Canary Wharf Station), DLR, and numerous bus routes, making it easily accessible from different parts of the city.
The choice of Canary Wharf as the home for Fairgame is strategic, tapping into the area’s bustling atmosphere and its reputation as a destination for both leisure and business. It’s a place where the fast-paced life of London pauses, allowing for moments of joy and relaxation, perfectly embodied by the Fairgame experience. Oh, and it’s right on the river, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and photo opportunities.
The Bar & Seating
The availability of both indoor and outdoor seating options is a significant plus. Indoors, guests can enjoy a cosy and comfortable environment, perfect for intimate conversations or simply relaxing in a more controlled climate. The outdoor seating, on the other hand, provides guests with the added bonus of enjoying scenic views. Positioned near the River Thames, it allows for a serene riverside experience, blending the joy of socialising with the tranquillity of a waterside setting.
The bar and seating areas are not just about functionality; they also boast a stylish decor that resonates with the overall funfair theme of Fairgame. This attention to aesthetics, coupled with comfortable seating, enhances the overall guest experience, making it both visually pleasing and relaxing.
Food Options
Fairgame has partnered with several street food caterers, providing a diverse range of food options to choose from. The food vendors include popular choices like Burger and Beyond for burgers, Rudy’s for pizza, and Dos Mas Tacos for Mexican cuisine. This range ensures that there’s something to suit every taste, from classic comfort food to more adventurous flavours.
💡 We opted to go to Ibérica for food, which was just round the corner. With that being said, we’ve heard great things about Rudy’s Pizza!
The Games
Fairgame boasts a collection of 9 different games. The games are a perfect mix of traditional funfair games and contemporary arcade-style games. This blend allows guests to relive classic fairground memories while also experiencing the thrill of newer, technologically advanced games. We were given 75 minutes to explore the games, with two rounds allowed per game.
Adding an extra layer of excitement, Fairgame offers the opportunity to win prizes, such as candy floss and branded bears, based on the scores achieved in certain games. This competitive element encourages guests to engage more deeply with the games, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall Experience
Overall, Fairgame Canary Wharf is a fantastic destination for those looking for an immersive and fun-filled experience. It offers a unique combination of games, food, and drinks, all set in a lively and picturesque location. The chance to win prizes adds an extra layer of excitement to the games. Although it could benefit from the option of extra game rounds or tokens for enthusiastic players, the experience is still highly enjoyable and worth recommending.
