📅
Flexible up to 30 days
Ubigi Spain plans run up to 30 days from first use. Buy in advance so you're ready the moment you land.

Which Ubigi plan should you pick?

For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £4.00 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Spain, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Ubigi's Spain lineup.

If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot for a laptop, lean towards a larger bundle — the 50 GB option is the safer choice. The unlimited plans are priced at a premium but make sense for heavy users who don't want to track usage.

One thing to note: Ubigi Spain plans are data-only. You won't get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over data.

Ubigi eSIM for Spain 2026 — what you need to know

Ubigi is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Spain coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Ubigi a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.

Spain has four big networks: Movistar (Telefónica), Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo (part of MasMóvil, which Orange now owns). Together they cover over 80% of the market. 5G hit 92% population coverage by 2023 and is now genuinely everywhere from Madrid and Barcelona down to mid-sized coastal towns like Cádiz, Tarragona and Alicante. Movistar tends to lead on rural and inland coverage and Vodafone wins most 5G speed awards. The Pyrenees, the Picos de Europa and the deeper bits of Extremadura still have patchy spots, and the AVE high-speed rail tunnels can drop you. Smaller Balearic islands like Formentera are fine, the Canaries are well covered.

Is Ubigi good in Spain?

In our testing, Ubigi connected reliably across major cities and travel routes in Spain. Plug is type C/F (230V) and tap-to-pay is everywhere now, even at small village bars. Madrid and Barcelona Metros both take contactless straight from your bank card or phone, so you can skip the ticket machines entirely.
