Airalo eSIM Plans for Slovenia
What you get with Airalo in Slovenia
Which Airalo plan should you pick?
For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £3.16 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Slovenia, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Airalo's Slovenia lineup.
If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot for a laptop, lean towards a larger bundle — the 50 GB option is the safer choice. The unlimited plans are priced at a premium but make sense for heavy users who don't want to track usage.
One thing to note: Airalo Slovenia plans are data-only. You won't get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over data.

Airalo eSIM for Slovenia 2026 — what you need to know
Airalo is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Slovenia coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Airalo a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.
Slovenia has three operators: Telekom Slovenije, A1 Slovenija and Telemach. Telekom Slovenije is the incumbent with the deepest rural reach, A1 leads on 5G speed and Telemach (owned by United Group) is the third player. 5G is now standard in Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Koper and Bled, and 4G covers basically the whole country. The Julian Alps around Triglav, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora have signal in the valleys and resort towns but the high mountain trails (Triglav peak, Vršič Pass on a bad day) can drop out. The Postojna and Škocjan caves are obviously dead zones.
Is Airalo good in Slovenia?
In our testing, Airalo connected reliably across major cities and travel routes in Slovenia. Plug is type C/F (230V) and Slovenia is in the eurozone. Ljubljana's Urbana card covers buses and the funicular, but contactless tap is being rolled out on city buses too.
