For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £1.00 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Germany, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Saily's Germany lineup.

Saily is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Germany coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Saily a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.
Germany has three big networks plus a slow-rising fourth. Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile / Magenta) is the rural leader and wins most coverage tests, Vodafone is the strong number two, and O2 (Telefónica) covers around 45 million subscribers. 1&1 launched its own 5G in 2023 but still relies heavily on O2 national roaming, so most users are effectively on one of the big three. 5G now reaches 93.85% of the country from at least one operator. Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Cologne are solid for 5G. Bavarian forests, the Harz, parts of Mecklenburg, and stretches of regional rail still have proper dead zones. ICE high-speed trains aren't as good as you'd hope, expect drops in tunnels.
Is Saily good in Germany?
