Yesim eSIM Plans for Egypt
What you get with Yesim in Egypt
Which Yesim plan should you pick?
For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £0.32 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Egypt, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Yesim's Egypt lineup.
If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot for a laptop, lean towards a larger bundle — the 50 GB option is the safer choice. The unlimited plans are priced at a premium but make sense for heavy users who don't want to track usage.
One thing to note: Yesim Egypt plans are data-only. You won't get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over data.

Yesim eSIM for Egypt 2026 — what you need to know
Yesim is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Egypt coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Yesim a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.
Egypt has four operators: Orange Egypt, Vodafone Egypt (the biggest), Etisalat Misr and WE (Telecom Egypt). All four have 4G across Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Luxor and Aswan. 5G has been launched commercially in 2024 across the main cities, with Vodafone, Orange and WE all rolling out networks. The Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur are all well covered. The Valley of the Kings near Luxor has signal at the visitor centre. Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan get coverage at every major stop and along most of the river. The Western Desert oases like Siwa and Bahariya have signal in the towns but drop out fast on desert tours.
Is Yesim good in Egypt?
In our testing, Yesim connected reliably across major cities and travel routes in Egypt. Plug is type C/F (220V) and the currency is the Egyptian pound. Tipping (baksheesh) is expected for absolutely everything, keep small notes handy. Bottled water only, the tap is not safe for visitors.
