What you get with Saily in Egypt

Set up before you fly
Buy in the Saily app and install your QR code at home. Your plan activates automatically when you first connect to a local tower in Egypt.
📱
Keep your existing number
Saily runs as a second line alongside your home SIM. Your usual number stays active for calls and texts — Saily handles data only.
🔥
Hotspot included
All Saily Egypt plans include hotspot sharing, so you can connect a laptop or tablet from the same data allowance with no extra fee.
📊
Real-time data usage
Track exactly how much data you've used at any time in the Saily app, so you never get caught short before your next refill.
☎️
Travel beyond Egypt
If your Egypt trip is part of a wider journey, Saily covers many other destinations from the same app — manage everything in one place.
📅
Flexible up to 30 days
Saily Egypt plans run up to 30 days from first use. Buy in advance so you're ready the moment you land.

Which Saily plan should you pick?

For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £1.00 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Egypt, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Saily's Egypt lineup.

If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot for a laptop, lean towards a larger bundle.

One thing to note: Saily Egypt plans are data-only. You won't get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over data.

Saily eSIM for Egypt 2026 — what you need to know

Saily is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Egypt coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Saily a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.

Egypt has four operators: Orange Egypt, Vodafone Egypt (the biggest), Etisalat Misr and WE (Telecom Egypt). All four have 4G across Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Luxor and Aswan. 5G has been launched commercially in 2024 across the main cities, with Vodafone, Orange and WE all rolling out networks. The Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur are all well covered. The Valley of the Kings near Luxor has signal at the visitor centre. Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan get coverage at every major stop and along most of the river. The Western Desert oases like Siwa and Bahariya have signal in the towns but drop out fast on desert tours.

Is Saily good in Egypt?

In our testing, Saily connected reliably across major cities and travel routes in Egypt. Plug is type C/F (220V) and the currency is the Egyptian pound. Tipping (baksheesh) is expected for absolutely everything, keep small notes handy. Bottled water only, the tap is not safe for visitors.
