Yesim eSIM Plans for Bulgaria
What you get with Yesim in Bulgaria
Which Yesim plan should you pick?
For a short city break of 3–5 days, the cheapest plan at £0.32 will cover Maps, WhatsApp, and casual browsing. If you're spending one to two weeks travelling around Bulgaria, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value option on a per-GB basis in Yesim's Bulgaria lineup.
If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot for a laptop, lean towards a larger bundle — the 30 GB option is the safer choice. The unlimited plans are priced at a premium but make sense for heavy users who don't want to track usage.
One thing to note: Yesim Bulgaria plans are data-only. You won't get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over data.

Yesim eSIM for Bulgaria 2026 — what you need to know
Yesim is a well-regarded eSIM provider with solid Bulgaria coverage. Plans range from short-break options to longer-stay packages, making Yesim a flexible choice whether you're spending a long weekend or travelling for a month.
Bulgaria has three operators: A1 Bulgaria, Yettel (formerly Telenor Bulgaria) and Vivacom. All three have launched 5G across Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and the main Black Sea resorts like Sunny Beach and Sozopol. A1 and Vivacom tend to have the widest coverage, Yettel sits third. The Rila and Pirin mountains around Bansko and the Seven Rila Lakes have signal in the resort villages but drop fast on the higher trails. The Rhodopes are patchy off the main road, and parts of the Strandzha forest near the Turkish border are essentially dead zones.
Is Yesim good in Bulgaria?
In our testing, Yesim connected reliably across major cities and travel routes in Bulgaria. Plug is type C/F (230V) and Bulgaria still uses the lev, with euro adoption pushed to 2026. Cyrillic alphabet on signs can be confusing, Google Translate's camera mode is genuinely useful here.
